朝鮮正祖年間，家道中落的金允熙女扮男裝，假冒病弱的弟弟應考，圖謀個小小納涼官職，卻不料陰錯陽差得到皇上賞識，被欽點進入當朝最高學府成均館。
在這裡，她與左相之子、朝鮮第一美男「佳郎」李先峻，富二代花花公子「女林」具龍河，以及大司憲之子，狂放不羈的「桀驁」文在新成了同窗好友；而自己也成了名冠漢城的「大物公子」。
