Song Byung-soo (1932-2009) is a South Korean novelist. He began his literary career in 1957 when his short story “Ssyori kim” (쑈리 킴 Shorty Kim) was published in Literary Art’s special issue for new writers. The theme of his works were the bleak reality of the Korean War, the brutality of war, and human love for the war victims. In particular, he painted a keen portrait of the hypocrisy and wickedness of Koreans as well as human consciousness in the existential crisis of war. l  Collection Songbyeongsu jakpumjip (송병수작품집 Collected Works of Song Byung-soo) (2010)


송병수(1932~2009)는 한국의 소설가다. 1957년 <문학예술>신인 특집에 단편소설 <쑈리 킴>이 당선되어 작품활동을 시작했다. 작가는 한국전쟁이라는 암담한 현실과 전쟁의 잔혹성, 전쟁 피해자들을 향한 인간애 등을 작품의 주제로 삼았다. 특히 그는 전쟁이라는 실존의 위기에 놓인 인간의 의식뿐만아니라 한국인의 위선과 위악을 날카롭게 그렸다. 


宋炳洙(1932-2009)，韩国小说家。1957年短篇小说《肖利·金》（《쑈리 킴》）入选《文学艺术》新人特辑后，开始从事创作活动。其作品多以朝鲜战争的黑暗和残酷、以及针对战争受害者的人道主义精神为主题，不仅描绘了现实战争危机中的人类意识，还尖锐地揭露了韩国人的伪善和伪恶。
