Park Yeo-sun is in danger of losing her job as a tutor at the home of the wealthy Kim Jae-dang. Kim Gyeong-jae helps Yeo-sun get a job at the textile factory run by Ahn Jung-seo. This brings Gyeong-jae and Yeo-sun close, but they break up due to objections from those around them, and Gyeong-jae marries Ahn's daughter, Hyeon-ok. Afterward, Yeo-soon becomes close to Jun-sik, the leader of the factory union, and she acts in concert with him. Jun-sik rushes to the factory president's office with other workers to protest the company's unfair treatment of its laborers. There, they face Kyeong-jae, who is in the president's office.
