Plot

On his way back to the palace from the countryside, Yi Hwon, a Joseon dynasty king, stumbles across a beautiful woman and falls in love with her. However, she is a shaman, who is forbidden to love someone beyond her rank, even if that man is the king himself.

2005년에 출간된 정은궐의 장편소설이다. 2012년 동명의 제목으로 드라마로 만들어졌다. 작품은 조선시대 가상의 왕과 무녀의 비극적인 사랑이야기를 다뤘다.

This novel by Jung Eun-gwol was published in 2005. It was adapted into an eponymous television drama in 2012. Set in the Joseon dynasty, the novel tells the tragic love story of a fictional king and a shaman.
