Seung Hasang has shut himself away at a Buddhist temple, determined to study for the bar exam in seclusion, when a monk approaches him, claiming to know about his previous life. Seung is told he is the reincarnation of Ahamsa, who lived a thousand years ago. Ahamsa loved Suhachi, but was unable to fulfil their love because of missed timing. After several reincarnations, Ahamsa is now Seong Hasang, and Suhachi is a woman called Oh Inhui. Hasang sets out to find Inhui, and the two meet in dramatic fashion. Oh Inhui is about to marry Jinu, but Jinu’s mother opposes the match. Inhui now believes her true love is Hasang.
