2002년에 출간된 박완서의 소설집이다. 표제작인 <저문날의 삽화>는 1987~1988년에 발표한 다섯 편의 연작소설로 소시민의 욕망과 죄의식을 다룬 작품이다. 표제작 연작 외에 <로열박스>, <복원되지 못한 것을 위하여>, <여덟 개의 모자로 남은 당신>등 모두 14편이 수록되어 있다.

Published in 2002, A Sketch of the Fading Sun is a collection of three short stories and a novella by Park Wan-suh. The title story, which was originally published in five parts between 1987 and 1988, deals with the desires and guilt of the petty bourgeois. The collection also includes “During Three Days of Autumn,” “Poverty That Is Stolen,” and “Momma’s Stake,” containing fourteen short stories in all.
