1973년에 첫 출간된 시인 신경림의 시집이다. 1973년 출판본은 자비 출판으로 나왔으나, 1974년에 창작과비평사에서 다시 출간되었다. 표제시인 <농무>는 발표 당시 민중적 화자를 내세워 민중의 현실과 정서를 생생히 드러냈다는 점에서 문단에 신선한 충격을 주었다. 시집 <농무>에 담긴 45편의 시는 민중적 언어와 정서를 바탕에 두고 그들의 비애를 과장없이 그대로 담아 생생하게 재현했다는 평가를 받는다.

This first collection of Shin Kyeong-nim’s poems was published in 1973, and it was later published by Changbi Publishers in 1974. The title poem “Farmers’ Dance,” considered one of Shin’s finest poems, shocked literary circles at the time for its realistic depiction of the problems and issues facing farming communities and working-class people in Korea. The collection includes 45 of Shin’s poems in which he conveys rural life as it is in a language that is straightforward and unembellished.
