1994년에 출간된 소설가이자 시인인 하일지의 첫 번째 시집이다. 소설 <경마장 가는 길>로 널리 알려진 하일지는 1993년 아이오와 국제 창작 프로그램에 참가한 3개월 동안 영시 22편을 창작하였다. 영어 제목 <Blue Meditation of the Clocks>으로 출간된 이 시집으로 시인으로 인정받았으며, 한국어로 번역되어 출간되었다.

Published in 1994, this is the first collection of poems by Haïlji,  who is a novelist and poet. He is known for his novel The Road to Racetracks, which brought him immediate fame.  He participated in the three-month International Writing Program at the University of Iowa during which he wrote 22 poems which were translated into Korean and included in this collection.
