2005년에 출간된 김별아의 장편소설이다. 제1회 세계문학상 수상작이다. 2009년에 드라마로 만들어졌다. 작품은 미지의 영역으로 남아있던 신라의 여성 '미실'이 신라왕실을 좌우했던 이야기를 그리고 있다.

Kim Byeola received the first World Literature Award for her novel Misil, published in 2005, and a TV adaptation was aired in 2009. The novel tells the story of an aristocratic woman who exercises considerable influence in the royal court of the Silla Kingdom.
