The narrator doesn’t understand his uncle who is in conflict with his family and repeatedly fail in life in order to fulfill his vain dream of becoming “Bruce Lee.” Yet his uncle is not frustrated by his fate of being born as an illegitimate son, and ends up completing his identity as a “fake Bruce Lee.”
