Plot

On Hashima Island, known as Hell Island, Yun Ji-sang, Lee Dong-jin, and Jang Myeong-guk are forced into labor in extreme conditions. Thinking of their beloved Seo-hyeong and Geum-hwa, they make an escape. Afterward, the atomic bombing of Nagasaki kills many Korean laborers.

This is a five-volume novel by Han Soosan, published in 2003. It deals with the pain and suffering of Koreans who were taken to Hashima Island in Japan for forced labor, and sacrificed in the atomic bombing of Nagasaki.

2003년에 출간된 한수산의 장편소설이다. 전체 5권으로 구성된 소설은 일본의 하시마 섬에 끌려가 강제노동에 동원되고, 나가사키 원폭으로 희생당한 조선인들의 고통과 恨을 다뤘다.
